Our professional guide will meet you upon your arrival at Maun International Airport and escort you to your accommodation. Our journey will begin tomorrow, where our official vehicles will drive you out into the untamed wilderness of the Kalahari.
Day 1: Drive Day to the Kalahari
After an early breakfast, our expedition into the Kalahari Wilderness begins. We spend the day getting to know our guide as they seamlessly navigate the twists and turns of their home country. This region of Botswana does not contain their wildlife with fencing, but rather allows them to roam the plains unfettered. Upon arrival at our campsite, our guide will help set up our home for the next few days and dinner will be prepared, followed by a leisurely evening exploring our new territory and relaxing around the campfire. Day 2: Central Kalahari
After a restful night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, we depart for our first game drive of the tour. The Kalahari is teeming with wildlife, and our first drive of the day should allow us to get up close and personal with some of Africa's most exotic wildlife. The Kalahari is home to herds of giraffe, wildebeest and springboks, as well as some of Africa's most fearsome predators such as the cheetah, leopard, and of course the Kalahari lion. Lunch will follow, allowing us the rest of the day to continue our quest for stunning views of nature at it's finest. We return to our camp for dinner and a campfire, listening to the sounds of the Kalahari as we drift off to sleep. (1 Night)
Day 3: Central Kalahari
Our experience continues with another early morning game drive as our fearless tracker uses their inexplicable skills to locate some of Africa’s quintessential wildlife. After a picnic lunch, we take a trip through the wilderness, spotting game on our way to the next stop, where we will interact with the famed Bushmen of the Kalahari. Constantly fighting to keep their land their own, we will learn firsthand what it takes to thrive in this unforgiving environment, and come away with a profound respect for our new friends. A restful evening back at camp awaits. (1 Night)
Day 4: Central Kalahari
We continue our journey in Central Kalahari with a final day full of action packed game drives. After a morning viewing, we head back to camp for a Sunday style brunch, soaking in the beauty of our backyard. Our day will conclude with a final game drive at sunset, and a campfire style dinner. (1 Night)
Day 5: Central Kalahari/Maun
After 3 full days exploring the Kalahari, it is finally time to pack up and head off. We depart with a final glimpse of the Kalahari wilderness, soaking in it’s beauty one final time before our guide safely escorts us back to Maun for the next leg of our journey, the Okavango Delta. Enjoy the many amenities civilization has to offer before we depart into the heart of the Delta. (1 Night)
Day 6: Moremi and Xiini
A short drive will take you to Moremi, in the Xiini region of Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Adjacent to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, the only proclaimed wildlife area in the Okavango Delta, the Moremi Game Reserve boasts impressive wildlife, including all major naturally occurring wildlife such as the Black Rhino. It's breathtaking wilderness, with picturesque views of floodplains, lagoons and grasslands will have you mesmerized long after we arrive at camp. (1 Night)
Day 7: Khwai Concession (Moremi)
We start our day in Xakanaxa, where you will depart on a 2 hour boat ride in the traditional dugout canoe, known as a Mokoru. From there, the splendors of the Khwai Concession delight with its diverse beauty comprising of a stunning landscape of forests, lagoons, floodplains and islands teeming with wildlife. Game viewing is excellent year-round as resident species such as the lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, and countless others roam this impressive landscape. (1 Night)
Day 8: Savuti (Chobe)
As the Savuti area is vast, your guide will opt for either a full day trip or a combined morning and afternoon drive, depending on where animals are concentrated. The plains are always a highlight and the area is known for its great concentration of predators. We also make a short climb to see some Bushman rock paintings, beautiful vistas from the hill, and are back in camp after sundown. (1 Night)
Day 9: Savuti (Chobe)
Since Savuti offers such an array of wildlife and wilderness, we will head out into the area yet again to make absolutely certain no stone goes untouched. Savuti is well known for its’ predators, most notably its’ resident lion and hyena population. Being a private park, our tour will be one of the few that gets to explore the natural wonders, making this an excellent destination to double down in. (1 Night)
Day 10: Chobe Park
Our morning begins with exploration to the Chobe Game Reserve, where we will make an extensive game-drive along along one of the densest populations of game in Africa. Not only do animals such as the antelope and giraffe roam the plains while natural predators like the lion run wild, but this area has one of the largest population of elephants in the world. Our day concludes with a sunset viewing of wildlife drinking from the river, and a campfire where our elephant friends may say goodbye. (1 Night)
Day 11: Kasane
We start our day with breakfast, afterwhich we depart on our final morning game drive, soaking in the magnificent Chobe Park one final time before our arrival in the town of Kasane. Boasted as a tourist hub for big game drives and close to the four corners of Africa, Kasane is a great place to end our adventure. We can arrange accommodation, transport back to Maun, or get you going on your next adventure!
